We love working with passionate and dedicated producers like Alexander Vargas! He grows the amazing Striped Bourbon varietal along with Caturra and Pink Bourbon. Our founder, Sasa Sestic, has been working closely with Alexander, particularly in relation to developing CM Selections coffee (both washed and natural). To achieve these results, we’ve been working to help with fermentation and drying techniques, as well as assisting with the building of new drying beds to improve his ability to process natural coffees.

When did you start growing coffee?

“I am a Coffee Producer since 25 years ago when I started out growing coffee at my family’s farm. They lent me a piece of land and when my coffee trees reached their production stage, I began to save up. After 5 years, I bought my own farm, which was planted with Red Striped Bourbon variety. As a Coffee Producer I have had bad & good times, but with effort, strength and determination it is possible to do it. I hope to keep cultivating coffee for a long time.”
